Bracebridge Lions were out in full force on Sunday May 28th giving back to the community! In support of the Annual Annie Williams Picnic in the Park and the YWCA “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”, our club purchased, BBQ’d and served over 570 free Hot Dogs for attendees. We worked with the Rotary Club of Bracebridge, the Rotary Club of Bracebridge-Muskoka Lakes, Town of Bracebridge and the YWCA to organize this free event. Members also helped direct traffic and parking and donated drinks, balloons and equipment! There was entertainment, activities, cake and ice cream, water, Paddle Club demonstrations, Fire Trucks, EMS, and the Lakeland Lift Truck. Well done team!
On Thursday May 25th we were pleased to have as our guests Robert and his Dog Guide Sam, as we did a formal presentation with Benefactor Brock Napier for his generous donation through the club for his Dog Guide. Brock’s donation has make a huge difference in Robert’s life and he has pledged to continue helping others in Muskoka who are in need of a Dog Guide to improve their lives. On behalf of the club, Thank you Brock!
Lions? In Bracebridge?
Yes, they are here. They’re often spotted doing great work in our community, especially where help is needed.
Be a Lion in Bracebridge
And they are very proud of what they do, as a group of members and as individuals.
You, too, can feel that pride and a deep sense of accomplishment in our community.

On Thursday, April 28th 2016, the club was pleased to induct an unprecedented 7 new members into the Bracebridge Lions Club. These new members have made the commitment to serve their community and to make the world a better place. We welcome Nicole Garon, Jodee Tonge, John Craymer, Scott McFarlane, Randy Bates, Bruce White and Christopher Marsters to the Pride! Already these members have shown that they will be active members of the club and an asset to our community.
After over 50 years of hosting our Annual Steak BBQ on the Civic Weekend at Annie Williams Park, the Bracebridge Lions Club is sorry to announce that they will not be holding it this year. We have agreed to step aside and allow full use of the park to Session Muskoka, which promises to be a great event for Bracebridge. We hope to come back next year and resume our long standing tradition, perhaps on a different weekend. We have been asked to be a vendor a Session Muskoka, so drop by and say hello, and purchase one of our world famous Peameal Backbacon on a bun or an Oktoberfest Sausage!
